  Midwest Equipment was originally known as Central Ohio Takeuchi, Inc. Central Ohio Takeuchi specialized in the sales, service, and parts involving only the Takeuchi brand. Growth quickly followed as Branson Tractors and Encore Mowers joined our expanding line of products.

 Noticing a trend in need for compact equipment rental, May 2008 ushered in the formation of Midwest Equipment, originally only meant to be the rental division of Central Ohio Takeuchi. Shortly after, GEHL found its way into our family of products and Central Ohio Takeuchi was on its way, outgrowing not only its name but the small building we were currently operating in.

 June 2009 saw us relocating into a new building with over 21,000 square feet and 3.5 acres of space to stretch out in, and the decision to adopt Midwest Equipment as our mother name was made. We found the name, Midwest Equipment, encompassed all that we do: Takeuchi, Gehl, Mustang, Yanmar, Encore, Tracks ,Tires, and more.

 We received a lot of great feedback from our customers about the purchasing process, but one thing that kept coming up was a request for an easier way to buy tires. In November 2010 we started SolidealTires.com to allow customers, both new and old, to purchase ag and construction tires directly without needing to call a salesman. Due to our volume purchasing power we are able to offer these tires and accessories online at suignificant discounts over manufacturer dealerships.
